Christmas Trees

6ft artificial Christmas trees

The most popular size in the UK, and for good reason: a 6ft tree with a topper fits comfortably under a typical 2.3m–2.4m modern ceiling.

What to look for

  • Tip count is a rough guide to fullness: more tips usually means a fuller tree.
  • Allow 20–30cm above the tree for the stand lift and your topper.
  • Standard 6ft trees are often 100–130cm wide; choose a slim tree for tight corners.

Will a 6ft tree fit?

A 6ft (180cm) tree usually suits a ceiling height from about 2.2m (7ft 3in) once you allow for the stand and a topper. Check the highlighted row below, and measure where the tree will actually stand.

Rule of thumb: tree height = ceiling height minus 25–30cm, to leave room for the stand (which lifts the tree a few centimetres) and your topper. Always check the stated height of the exact tree you buy.
